Alan Pell joins Schubert Music Publishing


We take this opportunity to announce that Alan Pell has become a new Partner at Schubert Music Publishing Ltd in the UK and will lead company's A&R activities both in UK and Internationally.

Alan has spent many years working in both records and publishing in the major and independent sections of the Industry.
Spending 2 years at Chrysalis Music he spent a brief spell at Chrysalis Records before being headhunted by Polygram Records in 1986.
There he was to spend 14 years at Phonogram/Mercury Records signing and working with many big name artists including Wet Wet Wet, Texas, James, Sophie Ellis Bextor,
Let Loose, Derek B  Worked with Curiosity Killed The Cat, Swing Out Sister, Tears For Fears, Big Country plus many other hit artists.
In this period Alan also worked as the in-house Music Supervisor, working in conjunction with with Polygram/Universal Films on numerous films including “Four Weddings And A Funeral”, “French Kiss”, “Bean The Movie”and “Bridget Jones Diary”.
Following a  2 year spell as Director of A&R for EMI/Chrysalis Alan moved into the independent sector as one of the founder staff members for the VC backed Stage Three Music.
Stage Three quickly established itself as one of the UK leading Independent publishers and 8 years later was acquired by BMG Rights.
Alan became Director of A&R for BMG UK before joining Mark Anders as Director of A&R for Bug Music UK.
