Movie "Gods" by Lukasz Palkowski awarded by Golden Lions Award at movie festival in Gdynia, Poland

The film "Gods" by Lukasz Palkowski is about the early career of the famous heart surgeon Zbigniew Religa, who in 1985 conducted the first successful heart transplantation surgery in Poland. The role of the doctor in the movie played great Polish actor Tomasz Kot.

Golden Lions is the most prestigious film award in Poland. The image was also awarded for Best Screenplay (by Krzysztof Cancer), Best Art Direction (by Wojciech Żogała). Tomasz Kot, who portrayed Zbigniew Religa, was awarded in the category of Best Actor. Awards also came to Aneta Brzozowska and Monika Jan-Łechtańska, who were responsible for characterization. The film won the most major awards during the entire Film Festival in Gdynia.
