Schubert Music Publishing France was officially started in 2011 by Andreas Schubert and Marta Zgrzywa.

Within a few months Matthieu Chabaud joined the company as Managing Director, bringing in over 18 years of experience in the music industry as legal & business affairs (Warner Music France and Warner/Chappell Music France), MD and A&R (MVS Music Publishing), owner and music supervisor (Bruit Blanc).

In 2017, Alex Cortay has joined SMP France as Sync and A&R Manager after collaborating and consulting for Schubert Music Publishing as a freelance and sync broker for a few years.
With 20 years of experience in the music industry, Alex started his career writing about music for Press and Web as well as working as Head of Programming and Music Coordinator for the French Student Radio Federation.
For 10 years he was running PR agency Magnetic Promoters (working for Warp, Record Makers, Rhymesayers, !K7, F Communications among others) and established the independent label Asphalt Duchess (Grizzly Bear, Psapp, Mondkopf, The Embassy, François-Eudes Chanfrault).

In 2020 Alex took over the role of the Managing Director of Schubert Music Publishing SARL and Smile Records France, focusing on both the core publishing business, as well as the production music part of the company.

I Am Stramgram

The sole songwriter hiding behind I Am Stramgram, Vincent Jouffroy, is surrounded by many musician friends he brings along his musical odyssey. He has just released his debut album ‘Tentacles’ which is the natural result of more than two years of touring in France and abroad. 'Tentacles' is an impressionist kaleidoscope of 9 songs that tell the story of paradise lost and ancestral joy, escape and lines, fullness and emptiness, everything that goes through Vincent’s head without being able to explain it but still creates a beautiful unity.

Butch McKoy

Butch McKoy (actually Christophe Chauviteau) is a very talented singer and songwriter. He started his music career as a member of the band I Love UFO. As a duo with Lionel Naudon, they're now working on their third album - 'The Sick Rose' which is going to take the band to even greater heights. Butch himself is now working for drama on a regular basis. In 2018 he’ll be touring to play live the score he composed for Peer Gynt - with the same company he successfully toured with for Lucrèce Borgia in 2015 and 2016.

White heat are four musicians: Butch Mc Koy, Blindman, Julien GB and Lionel Naudon. Formerly known as I Love UFO, they’ve released two albums under this name on Record Makers (Air’s label) and Asphalt Duchess and are considered as one of the best rock acts around. They have played more than 400 shows in Europe, including some major French festivals such as Les Eurockéennes, Rock En Seine or Transmusicales.

Mayor

Mayor was formed in 2010 by Xavier Mayorgas, who was the bassist and guitarist in the successful band Nadj. He was joined by Arthur Luc (guitar) and Benoit Aureille (drums) when they released their first album in 2013. Mayor is now working on their new album with English producer Paul Corkett.

Yann (vocal, bass) and Brice (guitar) met just after moving to Paris to form Future, now named FTR. After the release of their first EP 'Abyss' in 2013, Pauline joined the band as keyboardist. Since then, the band is producing a nervous hypnotic music, enhanced by different influences (from Jesus And Mary Chain to Oasis) and a touch of child-like irony. FTR's first album 'Horizons' was released on French label Requiem Pour Un Twister in May 2015. They are currently working on their new album, scheduled for next Autumn.

The Sirens Of Titan

The Sirens Of Titan are the musical incarnation of author, editor and poet John-Paul Pryor, joined by his long-time musical partners Jez Leather and Sami Salo. Their first album 'Apocalypse Session', released in 2016, was recorded live by producer Andy Strange and was intended as a riposte to the over-produced music of the zeitgeist. The Sirens Of Titan are now working on their second album with renowned producer Howie B (U2, Bjork, Tricky, Happy Mondays).

Swerve

Paul Régimbeau (critically acclaimed electronic producer known as Mondkopf) and Agnès Gayraud (La Féline), have for several years shared a discreet taste for freedom. Paul through his various collaboration in the electronic scene and Agnès with her epic yet personal pop songs. Although they seem to be far from each other in terms of music, they found a common ground outside of their comfort zones by forming Swerve. Their first single 'Burger Shack' will be released in June

Nour melts jazz and typical «Chanson Française» influences in a playful journey through timeless songs. Her music is made of retro accents and modern arrangements. She creates a very personal universe, playing toys as instruments and with words as meaningful chords. In 2016 she also composed and perfomed the ending song of the movie "Marie Curie". 'Après l’Orage' is her third album.

La Féline

La Féline is a progressive pop project (named after Jacques Tourneur’s 1942 movie), led by singer and guitarist Agnès Gayraud. She is also one of the figurehead of the French pop activists’ movement La Souterraine. Singing in French, her byzantine lyrics ring in your head long after hearing them and bring together her singular pop songwriting and Baudelaire, church singing, 80's, pop and deep thoughts. Her last album 'Triomphe' has been acclaimed by French and UK press, showing her as a key songwriter of modern French pop.

On their own, multi-instrumentalist singers and songwriters Kimmy Sawford and Ash Hicklin have already been responsible for numerous number one singles and hits around the globe. For over half a decade the duo’s versatile songwriting has been in demand from artists like Tiesto and Sam Feldt to international winners of The Voice, The X Factor and Idol. 2018 is the year in which Ash and Kimmy will take centre stage for the first time thanks to a refreshing brand of organic dance pop. Lysistrata

Lysistrata, a band inspired by, and loaded with, the screaming energy of youth. Formed in Saintes in 2013, this is a stellar rock power-trio. Transcendental guitar finesse shines from a back-drop of unstoppable drum/bass impetus blasting between post-rock, noise and math-rock. These boys dive from the solid rock of their virtuosity into a rampant ocean of sonic freedom, screaming and shouting with the exhilaration of free-fall. In 2017 they’ve won the very coveted Inouï prize from Printemps de Bourges festival as well as the Ricard Music Live prize. Their first album 'The Thread' was released in October 2017
