Following their acclaimed 2024 album In These Dying Times (Unique Records), Suzan Köcher’s Suprafon return with a new release that highlights a more energetic side of their sound. On March 13, 2026, the band released Le Temps de L’amour – a 4-track 7’’ EP featuring reinterpretations of four French classics from the 1960s.
The EP includes new versions of “Le Temps De L’amour,” “Psychedelic,” “Mini-Mini-Mini,” and “Contact,” blending garage psych, dream pop, and raw live energy.
The idea for the record grew out of the band’s concerts.
“We’ve been playing Mini live for years and people keep asking if it exists on vinyl,” says Suzan Köcher. “When we added Françoise Hardy’s Le Temps De L’amour to our set, the idea for a 7’’ EP came naturally.”
The songs were recorded live in one day at Maarwegstudio in Cologne with sound engineer Thomas Haumann. The EP was produced by guitarist Julian Müller, with mixing by David Trapp, who also worked on the band’s previous album.
Known for their dreamy psychedelic soundscapes, the band – Suzan Köcher (vocals, guitar, keys), Dale Lohse (drums), Janis Rosanka (bass), and Julian Müller (guitar) – intentionally capture a more direct and spontaneous energy on this release, reflecting the dynamic atmosphere of their live performances.
Le Temps de L’amour is both a tribute to the romantic spirit of 1960s pop and a showcase of the band’s vibrant live energy. The 7’’ vinyl will be released in a strictly limited edition of only 300 copies.
