DAVID HASSELHOFF signs with Schubert Music Records

new signing
June 17, 2021

David Hasselhoff, legendary US actor, singer and entertainer, has signed a comprehensive artist contract with Schubert Music Records / Restless Records.

On June 25th, 2021 “The Passenger”, a cover version of the Iggy Pop classic, will be released as the first single and video. The pre-order for the upcoming album “Party Your Hasselhoff”, which will be released in close collaboration with Starwatch on September 3rd, 2021 distributed by The Orchard on CD, vinyl, as a limited fan box, as a download and of course via all streaming providers, will start on the same day. The new songs were produced by Alex Wende (Hansa Studios, Berlin).

David Hasselhoff explains the backgrounds of the new album: “I had the idea for this album when I was recording a Neil Diamond cover and had to realize that our voices are very similar. So, together with my team, consisting of my new record company, my management and producer, I began to consider whether we should put together an entire album in the same vein. We made a list of songs, all of which were big hits in Germany, which also matched my voice and, above all, our album concept ‘Party Your Hasselhoff’. Because it should be a big party album, an album that everyone can sing along with and dance to. And I am convinced that now people are definitely ready for a big party again, they want to go out and party and have fun again. That is the key word: Have fun! This is what the songs on my new album stand for: for fun! The intention of the new record is to make people happy. Because we had enough unhappy moments last year.”

David Hasselhoff, Britta Friedrich of AB Glanz-Artist-Management as well as Schubert Music Head of A&R + Restless-Labelhead Henrik Guemoes, Schubert Music Publishing Managing Director + Head of Recorded Music Thomas Thyssen and Katharina Froemsdorf (Managing Director SevenOneAdfactory GmbH / ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE) met at Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich to celebrate the contract signing.
