Today sees the release of J Mahon‘s first single on Unique Records – “While You’re Travelling” is the first absolutely stunning appetizer of Mahon‘s upcoming album “Begin Again, Again“.
Mahon on “While You’re Travelling“:
“It was the final song I wrote for the ‘Begin Again, Again’ album. It originated from wanting an opening song for my live shows, something that swelled up to a big ‘introduction’ to the set. The song itself is an introduction to the new album, and this new path of what my music is going forward. Delicate piano and vocals and then slowly bringing in the heavier bass and blown out drums with layered violins and violas. I wanted something like Spiritualized.”
With CMMNPPL (US booking), Persona Grata (France booking) & El Rancho (UK booking) being set up J Mahon will hit the road soon.
The album „Begin Again, Again“ will be released via Unique Records (Believe / Groove Attack / Rough Trade) end of June this year.
