Henrik Guemoes moves to Schubert Music Europe as New Head of Pop/Mainstream and Schlager labels as well as Head of A&R

Henrik Guemoes, most recently responsible for the labels RCA Germany and Ariola as A&R Director, is taking over the management of the newly founded labels Restless Records and Mirabella Musik as part of Schubert Music Europe’s new label structure which is being distributed by The Orchard, and will also be joining the Publishing A&R team.

In the new, global label structure of Schubert Music Europe, Henrik Guemoes’s two labels will focus on the areas of Pop/Mainstream and Schlager music. His goal will be to offer a transparent and open partnership with the constantly growing team in Berlin in the rapidly changing music market and offer Schubert Music’s artists new and innovative deal structures and marketing channels.

Henrik Guemoes has been an A&R Manager in the music business since the mid-1990s. After 13 years with EMI Publishing, he has built up a strong network and knowledge of the market and was able to work on a long line of very successful bands, artists and projects for record companies such as Starwatch Entertainment, Warner Music, Universal and Sony Music.

Over the years he has worked with artists like Echt, HIM, Medina, Lena, Heino, Kim Wilde, Marquess, Queensberry, Roland Kaiser, Melanie C, OMD, Vanessa Mai, Matthias Reim, Heinz Rudolf Kunze, Semino Rossi and many more. Whilst at Starwatch Entertainment, he was the mastermind behind “Giraffenaffen”, one of the most successful children’s song projects in the German music market. As a TV productions consultant, Guemoes worked on programs such as “Our Star for Oslo”, “X-Factor”, “Pop Stars” and “Sing Like A Star”.
