Suzan Köcher’s Suprafon seamlessly blend Psychedelia, Dream Pop, Krautrock, Disco, 60s influences, Desert Americana, and evocative cinematic Soundtrack elements. Their hypnotic sound has earned tchem acclaim at festivals such as Traumzeit Festival, Reeperbahn Festival, Orange Blossom Special and Burg Herzberg Festival, culminating in a coveted performance slot at SXSW in Austin, Texas and the WDR Rockpalast. Their third album was released in October 2024 on Unique Records. “I started writing songs when I was 14 because I was afraid to talk about things and be rejected. Music was my way of saying what I think” – an experience that the German-Turkish musician Suzan Köcher shares with many, especially other women.
